My favorite nursery spaces.

Doing in-home newborn sessions, I see a lot of nursery spaces. And there are a few that rise to the top as my absolute favorites. I give you: my favorite nursery spaces.

  1. Minimalist baby girl nursery.

This room got tons of great light through two windows, and add to that the clean white canvas of the walls and crib, the light just reflected beautifully. Layered textures in the crib and on the walls (soft unicorn, soft mobile) kept things bright and inviting.

2. Cozy Woodsy Twin Nursery

The color scheme (dark soothing greys, turquoise, and white) invite napping and snuggling. Matching cribs and a white glider complete the room.

3. Gold, coral, and mint shared nursery in florals.

When you have two kids close in age, letting them share a room can be a great way to help them begin a friendship to last a lifetime. I love the window seat, the piles of pillows, the cozy spaces for books and stuffed animals and snuggles. Walking into this room just feels like a hug.

4. Rustic shiplap boy's nursery

This nursery design is just straight out of Joanna Gaines' playbook, and I dig it. Wood, neutrals, shiplap - accented with a pop of blue running through it all. It's boyish, charming, and modern.

5. Lavender and green baby girl's nursery

This crib is one of my favorites; I love the headboard and the trim. The lavender and green accents against the neutral walls and furniture keep the room bright and cheery without being overwhelming or chaotic. The perfect environment for naps and rest.

6. Modern rustic boy's nursery

The quilted banner is the centerpiece of the room, and I love it. This is how to do color and patterns in a room; keep it simple and clean, against a calming neutral background.

7. Sunny and bright boy's nursery

This was a tiny space, but the decor kept it cozy instead of cramped. Again, it's the neutral, calming canvas of the wall color that makes the pops of color so perfect. The textures and accents tied everything together.

7. Soft blue safari nursery

The custom-made animal heads, the hand painted stripes, the tight color scheme of blue and cream - it was like being inside a children's picture book.

8. Natural green and blue boy's nursery.

These colors are some of my favorites. They're used in the best light in this room, against the backdrop of clean neutrals and white bedding.Have a nursery you're proud of?
